Blog Launch Recap & Interview + Official Blogging Schedule
Welcome back!
This week has been absolutely, incredible, fantastically epic in the realms of writing (at least for me!)!
First of all, the launch of this blog, and the amazing blog tour that so many amazing people have done amazing posts for! :) It was also really fun having my blog tour correspond with my 'twin' (and I've got a little interview with her down below!)!
To recap, I'm super excited about each of these interviews or snippet posts that everyone has done. Wanna see them? Check out these great bloggers and their posts in this list:
Mia
Mia did a fun interview with me (her questions were great) with several snippets (YAY SNIPPIES!)!
Kirstie
Kirstie was the very first to do a double-interview post, and let me tell you - that was fun! Rebekah and I got to go off of each other's answers, and it got a little crazy!

1. What is the first thing you remember writing?
It was a story, written while three-year-old me wasn't paying attention during church. My mom gave me a little notebook to doodle in and instead I wrote a "story." If it can be called one. *dies laughing* IT'S HILARIOUS. It's like, five sentences scribbled in nearly illegible pencil handwriting + terrible grammar and spelling about a hog who met a frog who met a three-year-old people.
2. If you had to listen to only one song for the whole day, what would it be?
Ooh, I'd probably get rather tired of such a song after hearing it for the whole day. XD That's hard. I'd go the classical route and pick some nice peaceful music that won't distract me if I'm trying to study...like Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven!
3. What's your favorite chapter in the Bible? (see, I'm being nice. Most people specify by 'verse' and that's just mean. XD)
FINALLY! Someone is nice enough to say "chapter" instead of "verse." XD Well, I really, really, really like Psalm 136 -- it's an amazing reminder of how God's mercy endures forever, shown by examples. And it's so prettyyyyy!
4. What's the best gift you've ever been given in your life?
Hands down the Canon sL2 I received as an early birthday/Christmas gift a few months ago! Our family's older Canon camera had suddenly broke down, and in the months following I had to deal with taking pictures with a phone (which was terribly limiting and not much fun )....and then fast forward to Christmas and I found myself cradling a brand new camera in my hands. Thanks, Mom. <3
5. You have one word to describe yourself in an introduction. What would the one word be?
Oh, dear. It'd have to be something really dramatic and quoteworthy..."Destined."
6. Give a snippet of the best thing you've ever written.
I haven't written many good things. XD But here's a poem I wrote. It's really bad, but it's better than most of my others...
sinking sandbar
i don’t know what i am
i don’t where i’m going
i don’t know how i got here
all I know is that i’m
stuck on this sandbar
which yields beneath my
feet. and i’m sinking
deeper and deeper by the
minute. i’m down to my waist already,
and the rest of me is following,
and i’m pulling myself back up
but now i’m slipping again
slipping
falling
stumbling
sinking
floundering
dropping
an endless struggle
and suddenly there’s solid rock beneath my
feet. and the noises
of the crashing waves
and the salty spray
seem so far off. instead there’s the sweet
smell of a perfume. and as i stumble for footing,
a hand slips into my own and helps
me to my feet. i look into His face and
somehow I know that
everything will be ok now.
*cringes* It was one of my first attempts at freestyle poetry.
7. What's your biggest dream in life?
My biggest dream in life is first and foremost to glorify God through the talents and gifts He's given me, and to inspire others to do the same!
8. When you type the letter 'M' into your browser, what is the first suggestion?
I love these kinds of questions!! Let me see...it suggests maps.google.com, also known as Google Maps. Because I had to research it for a school project. :P
9. When you type the letter 'A' into your browser, what is the first suggestion?
The AG Doll Awesome blog! I don't even know why; I hardly type the URL into my browser, I just read their posts from my WordPress reader. XD
10. If you could visit any one of the United States, which would you visit?
For whatever reason, I've always wanted to go to Hawaii. It would be fun to vacation there! I wouldn't like the blistering summer weather, but who can resist beaches?!
11. What's your favorite thing to do with your siblings?
Just one thing?! *wails* Well, we do love to cook together! Every time my two oldest siblings come home for the holidays (they're in college/working), the theme is "FOOD" and the theme song is bangs of cookery... But seriously, we do a LOT of holiday cooking as a family, especially during Thanksgiving! The whole Thanksgiving day we'll just be popping in and out of the kitchen making enough food to feed all the third world countries in Africa (that's an exaggeration, but you get the point). XD
